Brief history:
As a child I would hand stitch my dolls clothes.
I started learning about alterations by hand stitching my roommates' clothes when I was 18...
...in my mid-20s I was working for Trappings of Time, a vintage/costume shop in Palo Alto, California doing repair and hemming, fitting 1980's dresses to modern shapely figures...
... I traveled to the vintage expos of San Francisco and Santa Monica with the fabulous Mad Hatter, purveyor of an amazing collection of vintage. You name it, she had it, or knew about it and could describe it in such great detail it became tangible...
...Not to mention my stint with a graveyard shift at an online special order costume business. You get the point.
In other words... My knowledge of vintage materials and methods is vast, and so is my experience.
